Chang’s classic recipe that you know and love, only this time we’ve left out the sugar, and they have a lot less salt because we’re using coconut aminos instead of gluten free soy sauce, but you can use whatever works best for you.

This recipe is very easy, but here are a few quick tips to ensure your keto lettuce wraps taste great, and I’ve included a couple of easy ingredient substitution ideas!
- If you can’t find ground chicken you can substitute it with ground turkey or ground pork instead.
- If you can’t find coconut aminos you can use gluten free soy sauce, I recommend using a low sodium version if you can find it.
- Prep the vegetables before you start, including washing the butter lettuce and preparing the lettuce ‘cups’, this recipe cooks quickly and you want to be ready to cook at each stage.

Low Carb Chicken Lettuce Wraps
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp oil
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 8 oz mushrooms , about 6 small mushrooms
- 2 green onions
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 8 leaves butter lettuce
STIR FRY SAUCE
- 3 tablespoons coconut aminos
- 2 tbsp dry sherry
- 1 tsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
Instructions
Make the Stir Fry Sauce

Mix the coconut aminos, dry sherry, fish sauce, and rice wine vinegar in a bowl to use for the stir fry sauce.
Make the Low Carb Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over a medium high heat, then add the ground chicken and stir fry for a few minutes until browned, then remove from skillet and set aside.

Add 1 tbsp oil and the garlic, mushrooms, and green onions to the pan and stir fry for 3-4 minutes.

Return the chicken to pan with the stir fry sauce and heat through.
